The next type of email is a part of a digital marketing strategy used by businesses to promote their brand and sometimes their products to current customers and prospects. They can be one-time emails or set up as a drip campaign sending out emails on a periodic basis. These emails are not personalized, come from a generic address like sales or info and they are very highly formatted with images, links, and buttons. With this type of email communication, you could use Constant Contact, Mail Chimp, or another email marketing service. These email marketing services have professional email templates that you can choose from and customize to get your message across. They also have reports to show you how many people opened the email, clicked through to another webpage, how many emails bounced and how many people unsubscribed.

The last type of email is a cross between marketing and sales. The campaigns can drip or stop once a recipient replies. You create personalized simple email templates and a schedule for them to be sent. The email is sent from the sender’s email account, not a third party so it is much less likely to be caught as spam. It is a great time-saving sales automation strategy that can be used for lead nurturing or follow up. This email type is normally used so that the prospect doesn’t fall through the cracks, and it keeps your name in front of them automatically.
